    Toshiba a500 Windows Suddnely not Genuine


    The laptop had Windows 7 Home Pre for 4 years now last month it was updated to windows 10 but that was crap so reverted back to 7...today after update no longer genuine.

    Came pre installed i no longer have the disk i have the pin but all i get is 0xC004E003

    You should have a sticker on the side of your PC with the Windows 7 key on. Have a look for it.

    Once you've found it, reactive the Windows 7 using this key. To do this, do the following:

    Open System by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking System and Maintenance, and then clicking System.

    Under Windows activation, you can view your activation status. You can also change your product key by clicking Change product key.

    The installed Ultimate Key is from an HP computer, and cannot be valid on a Toshiba.
    For which version and edition of Windows is the machine licensed - according to the COA sticker on the case?

    How/why did it get an Ultimate install? - there is no way that could have happened accidentally.

    The laptop should be Home Premium i never installed ultimate...the only thing i did was update to windows 10 then i had to revert back as i didnt like it.....how the hell did it install windows ultimate...
