    computer has Lanman\Workstation on it

Hello, I try to find info about this problem, but all the Threads are very dated.

A lot of services don't function on my laptop and I get a message " This computer is not running genuine Windows ". I bought it with Windows 7 service pack 1 , 64 bit .

I can go online, send and recieve E-mails, that's about it.

    Any help much appreciated,

This is probably the one that's preventing the others from running...
    Code:
RpcSs Service is not running. Checking service configuration:
The start type of RpcSs service is OK.
The ImagePath of RpcSs service is OK.
Open an Elevated Command Prompt, and run the following commands:

    SC QUERYEX RpcEptMapper
    SC QUERYEX DcomLaunch

    Post the results...
Here are some instructions to make life easier :)
    1) To open an Elevated Command Prompt Window (the ECP window), click on Start, All Programs, Accessories – then right-click on Command Prompt, and select Run as Administrator. Accept the UAC prompt.
    2) To run the commands easier, highlight the block of commands, and right-click on the highlight – select Copy. In the CP Window, click on the black/white icon at top left – select Paste. The commands will run but may not complete the last command, so hit the Enter Key once.
    3) To copy the results... click on the Black/White icon in the top left, and select Edit... 'Select All', and hit the Enter key - then use Ctrl+V or r-click+Paste to paste it into your response.

That looks normal enough - I'll have to go diving into the Event logs, then

    Open Event Viewer
click on the Windows logs entry in the left pane to expand it.
Now click on the Application entry - wait while it loads.
Click on 'File' in the menu bar and select Save...
    Save the file as Appevt.evtx
    Repeat for the System log
then zip both, and upload them.

It looks to me like you *should* also be getting a non-genuine notification?

I need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool
(download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
    Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.x
    - in your own thread, please

Please also state the Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker (if you have one) on the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but do NOT quote the Key on the sticker!

    (it's a Q )
This may simply be caused by a bad set of Intel Rapid Storage Technology drivers -

Installing the Intel Rapid Storage Drivers
try downloading and installing them from here - https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Det...&DwnldID=22194

    (you want the iata_enu.exe download)

Once complete, please reboot twice, then post another MGADiag report.
