Here they are. In looking at this are Bonjour and WMI the culprits? I could jetison Bonjour but not sure on WMI. Could I rebuild WMI? I could be totally out to lunch on this too. 8>(

I know you are very busy but were the files I sent any help? thx
I've been at work all day - and these logs aren't simple
Back when I've made some sense out of them
I understand. Thanks for all your help. I have tried somethings in the meanwhile just to see if I could fix my problem. I uninstalled ITunes & Bonjour and reloaded, used a FixIt for my WMI and found a way to get all the updates downloaded. Now when I shutdown, and it unfortunately restarts :>(( I looked at the Event Viewer, Application and the only warnings are ToshibaApp Place and User Profile service: Windows detected your registry file is still in use by other applications or services. The file will be unloaded now. The applications or services that hold your registry file may not function properly afterwards.
Thought I was on to something but alas no.
Is there anything I could just turn off in regedit until we might know what happened? I hate to keep using hard shutdown. eek
Until the solution is found, you can press and hold the power button while the computer is "off" for the brief time during the restart.
Krc, I don't remember; does the system shutdown from Safe Mode?
What about a Live Linux boot? Download Linux Mint MATE, make a bootable DVD/USB. Boot with it, then shutdown.
I would still try with front panel connectors removed.
Also try loading BIOS defaults.
Hello GokAy- Yes, I have reset all the BIOS to defaults and it still happens in SAFE mode. I haven't tried the linux mint idea.
I can try that. Thanks.
Not sure about this one - I would still try with front panel connectors removed. Kind of scared to open the PC.
