That's fine, I didn't see your TF thread, I guess you are talking about this one,

Clean install of W10 not possible in Virtual Machine. - Windows 10 Forums

That info would have helped, leaving out info and starting with a nice gotcha title isn't very helpful.

I don't mind you tinkering, nothing wrong with that.

Your title hasn't been proven yet either, not sure what you were going with there.
If you want, you can change the title to "Win7 activation error code 0xc004008" if you are talking about the windows 7 thread.

Please follow this tutorial and post an MGADiag report - then we can see what the problem is.

Windows Genuine and Activation Issue Posting Instructions

Ignore errors produced when clicking on the Copy button - they simply mean that the tool could not create the backup files for some reason. The data is still copied to the clipboard for pasting to your response.

    NoelDP,
    Thank you. :)

I was just doing testing in a virtual machine. When I am ready to try again, I will post that info you requested before I call Microsoft for activation. I just think I used the key one to many times. I am will be busy this afternoon. I might try it again tonight or tomorrow. My current windows 7 is working without issue. See before I test anything I create image backups. I should of create image backup after step 4. That was my mistake.

If it is just a case of using the Key one time over the 'allowance' (it's a variable, not a fixed count) then a phone call should sort it out, unless it's hugely over.
