Cannot update to IE11 Error code 9c57

    Hi all,

I have been trying to update IE 11 with 0 success. The error code I'm getting is 9c57. I am also getting the same updates to install from Windows Updates immediately after I download them. I will list them below. When I went into the "turn on and off Windows features", it was showing IE9, but the current version I'm running is 8.0.7601.17514. Windows Update has IE 9 as an optional update, and IE 11 as an important update. Neither one is working. Also attached is the CBS.zip file. Any assistance would be great. Thanks!

Windows Updates that keep showing up to install:

If there is any information I didn't include, please let me know. I've been having this issue for quite some time now and it's preventing me from reserving Windows 10. Thank you.

I think this is the critical error from the reports...

The errors present (or at least I think they are errors!) are beyond my meagre skills to interpret
All I can really suggest is that you 'uninstall' IE8 by using the Enable Windows Features option in Programs and Features.
UNcheck it there and click OK - when the uninstall is complete, reboot and then go back in and put the check-mark back in - once the install has finished, reboot once, then open IE.
Having opened IE, close it again, and reboot again.
try Windows update and see what happens now - Do a Check for Updates first, then attempt only to install updates for IE8. Do they work?

When I go into "Programs and Features" to turn IE off, Internet Explorer 9 is listed, not 8. I unchecked the box and got this message:

"An error has occurred. Not all of the features were successfully changed."

When I rebooted, IE 9 was still showing as checked off in the list.

As far as updates, I have IE 11 as an important update, and IE 9 as an optional update. I have also been getting the same security updates, even though they've been downloaded multiple times.

Any further help would be appreciated.

Still looking for help with this topic.......In the "turn windows features on and off", I am now seeing IE 8, which is the version I'm currently running. I am still showing the same security updates.

Have you checked the Installed Programs listing for IE9? and Installed Updates? If it's there, try uninstalling it.

IE 9 does not show in my installed programs list. In "Turn windows features on and off", IE 9 was showing for some reason, but now I am seeing IE 8; however, it will not let me turn it off. I'm getting an error. I did notice in the windows features list that Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 is there, but in my uninstall programs list Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.2 is listed. Could that be related to the issue I'm having. I am still getting error 9c57 when trying to do a windows update for IE
