    Great news Ron. :)

    I think what happened is that since the update was currently trying to download, it wasn't able to be completely disabled until it had stopped trying to download and Windows Update was reset to clear the failed download.

    Yep not sure if his windows update settings were always set to what he showed earlier or if he changed them later ?

    Just finished fixing mine up with the same problem. It now works as it should, at least for me I used this fix as well; Upgrade to Windows 10 Update - Enable or Disable in Windows 7 or 8.1 - Windows 10 Forums
