New updates force WX upgrade

Forbes Welcome

Latest Windows 7 updates forces a Windows 10 upgrade on to the user!

I declined the upgrade and put the KB with hidden updates.

But it keeps on coming back.
Same with KB 3035583.

Than a serious problem happened:

After installing the rest of the updates that were presented today, I no longer had access to the files on my C: drive, directories were displayed but access was denied.

After I did a system restore I could access these directories again.

Conclusion: one of the updates caused this to happen.

So now I am wondering why this happened and if there are people out there having similar problems.

Was it because of my refusal to upgrade to WX that I could not get into those directories anymore,

or is there another explanation?

An update may return when new versions of the update is released.

As to why your file access was messed up...
...I would write that off as just another barf during updates.
These barfs have happen way too often the past few years.
