Failed Install KB2965788 - Important Update

I was doing a clean install and during the updates, I had one, KB2965788, that failed to install and hasn't reappeared for a second attempt.

I'm running Win 7 Pro x64. The error code is WindowsUpdate_80070308.

I'm not sure if this update is required for my system configuration or if there is some issue that needs to be detected and resolved.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Regards

My understanding that some system may require this KB and some don't.

That's what I was thinking. It downloaded, but failed to install, because it wasn't applicable. So, it hasn't reappeared. But, I don't know for certain.

The error code indicates a possible file problem...
Please follow the Windows Update Posting Instructions
    and post the requested data

If the file is too large (8MB compressed), remove the older CBSPersist cab files until the final file is below the limit - you can always post them separately after zipping them. (the forum doesn't allow the upload of bare CAB files, for a number of reasons)

Please also post the C:\Windows\windowsudpate.log file

On this clean install, I had one batch of updates where five updates had install problems. Four subsequently installed successfully of which one successfully installed on the third attempt, and one has never reappeared for installation, KB2965788.

SFC /SCANNOW did not indicate any system integrity issues.

The System Update Readiness Tool (SURT) installed successfully in a short period of time.

I divided the CBS folder into two separate folders due to size, CBS1 & CBS2. They can be downloaded from the following links:

    CBS 1.zip

    CBS 2.zip

Please let me know if you need any additional information.
