If it was my computer I would Shut down the computer and then boot it again.
Once again check for Windows 7 updates.

If things still don't work complete this tutorial by Brink and post the info here so Noel are expert on such matters can have a look.

Here is the system specs that I can find with msi cx705mx.

Notebook - The best gaming notebook provider

    • Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor
    Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium
(MSI recommends upgrade to Genuine Windows® 7 Professional)
    • Classic Cross-Hatch Design
    • 17.3" 16:9 HD+ wide screen display
    • LED power-saving backlight technology
    • ATi Mobility Radeon HD545V with DDR2 512MB VRAM graphics card
    • HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) Output
    • MSI Exclusive ECO Engine Power Management System
Doesn't look to me that a lot of speed was built into the system.

For browser problems I suggest that you post here.
