Updater never stops checking, fresh install, 2 computers.

    If you look through different threads in this forum you will find a truck load of members going through the same head ache with Windows 7 Updates.
    It can take form 6 to 8 hours all the way up to 48 hours.
    I think it's Microsoft little way of spanking us for not going to W-10.

    I installed win 7 x86 ultimate at an old laptop with Pentium M 2.00Ghz. Windows update uses all the cpu and makes it unusuable. Newer computer took about 10hours to show them.
    Now I am trying to install updates via WSUSOffline. It didnt take much time to download the updates though so I wonder why windows 7 sp1 is too slow.I guess we should capture a generized image with the updates to avoid this pain.

When I go to check for update windows updater gets stuck on an endless loop while checking. I have let it check for "hours" but it doesn't stop nor does it find any updates, I always have to use task manager to get it to stop. Any ideas on what could be the problem?
Ok hi all Have a Toshiba L300 laptop, currently running Ubuntu (unfortunately) have bought windows 7 and trying to install. Pop disc in system boots up, goes to checking information after clicking install button Then get message saying install disc drivers ???? :cry: Windows then wont continue...
Fresh install 7048 stops
in Installation & Setup

My fresh installation of 7048 stops at boot logo. See the pic. What could be wrong? I had the 7000 installed before (installed it from XP on the second partition), and my laptop is perfectly capable of running 7 (1,6 pentium M, 1 GB RAM, Intel 915). So what could be wrong? ...
