    Kb3107998

MS has not put out much info on this optional update yet.

Clicking on this "More information" link...

    ...gets one this website/info:
(The website will probably update at some time in the future.)
(Searching that website for KB3107998 yields no returns.)

The Update catalog shows this info:

    Kb3107998-kb2.png

    Kb3107998-kb3.png

Which leads me to think that today's mystery update replaces this:

It makes me wonder why MS releases an update prior to making the website available. The website for the "More information" link now shows me what you see too. But it was not there for me earlier and I tested with 3 different ISPs.

They've been doing that months now (if not years.) Apparently they can't be bothered to update the website until 2+ hours after they push out the new updates. Updating the website and giving detailed information about updates is not a priority for them.

I got the same update for my Lenovo machine. Checkout this link. The webpage indicates that USB Blocker is predominately a Win 8.1 program. The page specifies a directory location at c:\Program Files\Lenovo\USB Blocker\

I do not have this directory on my system. Consequently, I do not see a problem with installing the update.

It does more than that one sentence states. It updates the files from the KB that it replaces. You should probably install it.
