    Did you see if completely resetting Windows Update using OPTION THREE in the tutorial below may help with Windows Update?

    I ran it and still got the same error so I ran Mr. Fixit.

    also, I am still getting the 'reboot' message and I have no update history.

    also, MS Office doesn't open anymore. I will try and repair this in programs and features. (I REINSTALLED OFFICE AND IT NOW OPENS)

PC is W7 Ultimate 64 bit SP1 Kept fully up to date. Last update I can see is security update 17 Dec KB3025390 nothing shows after that date Last 2 days ... on PC shutdown get the 'installing updates 1-5 message" then it shuts down OK On next start up , goes though several...

Windows Update tries to install the same updates repeatedly and always fails. I've tried to run Microsoft Fix it but it didn't help.

Hello again, sorry for the trouble... But, today I decided to totally format my computer all over again. I have formated my PC with Windows 7 Ultimate, 32-bit. Everything was going smoothly... I installed my regular drivers, Acronis, Adobe then I connect to the net to do a Windows Update first......
