    Continually Annoying Wondows Update Message

I hereby apologize for everything I as a Newbie will do here.

I've been getting the Windows update Message for the past couple of years. It tells me that I am not using an official copy.

I purchased my brand new Toshiba laptop from Best Buy several years ago. I am the exclusive user.

The messages started appearing after I installed a new hard drive.

The Mobo is original; I have the authenticity stickers on the computer.

I contacted MS to resolve and got nothing but attitude from the CS person who instructed me to purchase a legitimate copy for $130.

I've ignored the pop up for as long as humanly possible so now I'm asking you Obiwan Kenobe: please help.

I read one of the sets of instructions and it said to post this so here it goes.

It's gibberish to me but I hope it helps you.

My sincere thanks for your time.

    Hi and welcome.

I would have contacted Toshiba rather than Microsoft but have a look at these tutorials.

You have a bad set of intel drivers
please run the IATA.enu set (fourth block)from this link

    https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Det...?DwnldID=22194

rerun the tool, all of the mismatch's and tampered files should be gone.

So, I was running 32-bit drivers on a 64-bit system?

My sincere thanks to you. Do you think this will solve the problem? I haven't seen the annoying validation notice show up yet.

    Hi Ipman,
Not exactly sure whats been going on with the Intel drivers on some systems, but i tend to see it every month.
The non-genuine IS caused by them, and now you've got a good set your Validation notice should not re-appear.
