    Select updates "WONT" install

My desktop PC, Windows 7 64 bit. My current security updates will NOT update. I've tried doing one at a time that doesn't seem to work. I haven't downloaded out of the ordinary recently, so I don’t know what’s going on. Any suggestions?

    Which updates aren't installing?
You could try downloading the standalone installers from the MS site. I've had the occasional update fail to install through Windows update but installs fine using its own installer.

How do you find those standalone installers? Point the way, and I'm bookmarking that place.

You have a few different options when it comes to standalone installers.

    1) Google each individual KB and download from the MS site.
    2) Dr. Windows Update Pack Windows 7 Update Pack by DrWindows - November 2015
    3) .NET framework slim installer [Slim] .NET Framework 4.6.1 Full x86/x64 (12-1-2015) - Installer Repacks - WinCert.net Forums

However HelpMe7 it sounds like you're having an issue with Windows update itself.
I haven't tried this myself but it might help:

I would suggest creating a backup/image before trying any fixes.
