Cannot Update error 80070424 Home Premium 64bit

I ran the SURT, then SCANNOW many multiple times and only a few updates will take. Then I ran several updates, it failed, then reverted ALL my updates and erased the update history. Crazy right? The below line showed up several times in the sfc log when running SCANNOW but all referenced fastprox.dll -

I've had this machine for about 6 years and have no idea where the Windows system disk is. Also - I was a victim of hijackware about 2yrs ago. This all came about b/c I was trying to install an MSI GT730 for the kids and it wouldn't work so I though "time to update". I got the CBS log as mentioned in the posting help but compressed it's 200Mb+. Help??

I've got another fastprox.dll file, but not sure where to put it. When doing a search for the file it shows up in about 8 different folders. Should I replace all??
From the post above, it looks like it should be in C:\windows\System32\wbem but it's not...
