    Windows update error 0x80073712


    So I've read the rules and stuff, and so I've tried your suggestions so I've decided to finally post here again(upload didn't work) so here's my second try.(also when I use sfc /scannow I get Windows resource protection could not perform the requested operation.)

    torchwood is off line at the present time so I will give a hand.

    You have a counterfeit installation of Windows 7.

    Reasons:

    1. You have a OEM/SLP bios dated.

    Date>20090527000000.000000+000</Date></BIOS>
    Windows 7 Release date was July (7) 2009

    You have a retail motherboard with a OEM/SLP

    Asus P5KPL-AM SE(Socket 775)
    Windows License Type: OEM SLP
    OEM/SLP key are for only the factory installed motherboard. Basically the OEM/SLP is used when a manufacture like H.P. or Acer make a computer.

    To solve this problem you need to do a Clean Install of Windows 7 with a proper media and the correct COA key to match.

    Be very careful where you buy Winows 7 from.

Please help. SFC Scannow: Windows resource protection could not perform the selected operation SURT: works but didnt fix the error also I couldnt upload the CBS file it keeps breaking so I only uploaded the CBS.log file sorry :(
