    kb2943357 fails with 80073712

    Hello all,

I have been banging my head against a rock with this now for days. Wife's Win 7 Pro x64 VM (running on parallels) fails to install this update. Knowing my wife she simply unplugged the computer or shut it down when the Win 7 VM was doing updates. Now I get to try to fix it.

I've manually downloaded and tried installing the update, tried svc /scannow (shows no errors) tried a bunch of other things.

Total CBS logs are over 3.6GB (wow) after I fix this problem I guess I need to figure out what the hell is going on there, seems to be a common problem on computers at her office not sure why.

Attached is the CheckSUR log, hopefully someone here can point me in the right direction. Not looking forward to having to rebuild this VM from scratch. Hell, this stupid Mac doesn't even have an optical drive.

Hey guys, was there more info needed that I didn't provide? Can anyone offer any insight on this? It's pretty weird because in add/remove programs I don't even have .NET 3.5 installed (The machine has .NET 4.0 I believe) and the update itself does not list in installed updates.

    Hi Jm,
There are a lot of manifest errors in that report and the expert on these in the forum, is not well at the moment.
He has fixed these exact errors before but unfortunately the repair file he created is no longer available otherwise i wolud have posted it.

I am sorry to hear that and hope he gets well soon. Are there any other avenues to pursue before I give up and reload Windows? Thanks again.
