    W10 downgrade

    Hi Dean,
As you've downgraded from 10, unless it came with downgrade rights your never gonna be able to activate and legitimately use W7.

The original package, (W8?) where did you get it?, they MIGHT replace it with a set of W7 discs AND a different product key.

    Reply to W10 downgrade

I bought the disc online from ebay, it came with license key and dell version disc of windows 7 ultimate. I tried to fresh install windows 10 after i upgraded from 7 and my product key became invalid. I was looking at windows 10 forums at the time of release and a few users said it would be okay to clean install with key being actiaved still some how as it had been installed on my system before, but it went wrong obviouly and thanks for your reply Roy

    OH Dear

    Hi Dean,

    You've been done.
Dell OEM discs can only be used on Dell machines
If you had purchashed OEM System Builder or Retail discs
    That would have been OK.

Go Back to Ebay and tell them youve been sold a puppy, demand a refund
on the grounds that the goods are not fit for purpose, and if its a UK vendor, tell them your gonna inform Trading standards, and MS (report as pirated)
You MIGHT get lucky and they possibly might send you a proper set, 7 or 10 more likely.
