Windows 7 update error 8007000e

1. System Update Readiness Tool (SURT)
  1. Under Download the System Update Readiness Tool, download the appropriate version of the SURT for your version Windows, and save the file to your Desktop.
NOTE: It is likely that we will need to run this file multiple times, so make sure you keep it.

System Update Readiness Tool fixes Windows Update errors in Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008 R2, and Windows Server 2008
  2. Double-click on the file to install it.
  3. Leave it to run uninterrupted. It may appear to freeze or hang, but this is perfectly normal. If it still hasn't finished after a few hours, then notify us in your post.
I have done this part!!

2. SFC Scan
  1. For how to run, see: sfc /scannow
I have done this part!!

3. Windows Update Error Codes

In your post, you need to specify what error codes/messages you are receiving when an update fails. The screenshot below shows where error codes are displayed:

This update Not For this computer

When I run it it said that this update is not for this computer. It doesn't say it like that but that's what it means. Thank you for all that you're doing.

This update you had for me was for a 64 bit OS. So I went and got the 32 bit one and install it. I ran update again and I still got the same error message. 8007000e

thats a different code to the one thats showing in your other post.
the 1st is a retail key, which is why i told you to run that KB.
the 2nd is a VLK which needs to be registered via your college server.
Why change it?
