KB3033583: It's Baaaaaa-ack.... again!
KB3033583, the infamous GWX (Get Windoze 10) update is back again... in it's 3rd version and 11th... yes I said 11th... "revision". Time to hide it once again boyz n girlz... that is if you're lucky enough to have Updates set to Check but notify me before download & install (like I do). Those with updates set to Automatic will again be besieged with Windows 10 prompts, downloads & in some cases unwanted upgrades without user input. (allegedly, I've yet to see this happen on any of my test systems/VM's)

Thanks Shawn, yes I have those options (Reg entry & Group Policy) enabled too... but the KB stills rears it's ugly head, at least if you have "Give me recommended updates..." enabled in WU settings.

Yeah, they like to keep re-releasing that one a lot.

I wish my money and health would come back like that pest does.

And to make matter worse even as you say with those methods to block it, it still gets installed.
It caught me this morning & by the time I realised it was that damned KB 3035583 it was installed, so I had to uninstall it, then restart Windows, then check for Updates again & lo & behold the damn thing was there wanting be installed again so I hid it.
So until next time.

Yeah, those tutorials won't stop KB3033583 from being installed, but Windows 10 instead.

Thanks Brink for that information, but the Windows 10 install disablers wont stop the installation of the GWX files into Windows/System32 folder, although they will actually stop the installation of Windows 10 itself.
