    Hi Teks,
Those are the base files for a W7 install,
    BUT
they have been installed using the SURT tool, looks a bit like a hack to me.
Check the sticker on the comp to see what the original OS was, No sticker = looks even more suspect.

If you run this tool from here
Windows Genuine and Activation Issue Posting Instructions

I'll see what else i can find

Thanks for the reply. Yesterday I moved the files to an external drive and all seems well. There is a Windows 7 Pro Authentication sticker with HP on it on the side although it might have originally come from HP with Vista installed. I bought it from a Travel Agency that had downsized.

Oh and I had already run the Diagnostic tool as instructed by support at the Microsoft forums. All seemed to be in order. I was having problems updating Windows 7 since the computer hadn't been connected since last year and I managed to find the solution in a thread here at the Sevens forum. That's how I found the place after a google search for a solution to the update issue. :)

Sorry I no longer have those files. Long ago deleted. The computer now dual boots Win 10 Pro and Linux Mint 18.1 Cinnamon.
