Win7 has not updated in months, not since I downloaded the free Win10, but never let it install. I would like to update Win7, but each time I try, it tries to install Win10. It lists about 97 updates I need but it always starts with downloading Win10. I don't want to install Win10 at this time. Is there a way to update Win7 without installing Win10?

I wouldn't be too concerned about the updates mate as it seems they are all over the place at the moment and a lot having 10 crap incorporated in them.

I would first change the update settings
Make sure you have Install recommended updates the same as important updates Unchecked.
That alone would stop anything win-10 related from installing.
Yep mate that is how all my machines are set and I just ignore them in the main as I cannot be bothered to spend time researching what the individual updates are about.
The one thing I do run regularly is the GWX Control Panel Ultimate Outsider - Software Downloads and it finds 10 crap files even though I don't do anything with updates.
Yes Thelma really a bit pointless really when they are threatening all sorts of things to come in the future and to be honest I think the innocuous updates are just masking 10 crap.
