    Hi,

I understand that shipping almost anything to the island costs extra.

    Yes I want all 3.

ThrashZone, a few questions that struck my mind.

    1. Last time was updating in batches, so our friend KB3020369 was always unchecked, till I got the 1st error with .NET 3.x.x.x...... than why a fail?

    2. When I activate W7 online, without even check for updates the size on disk increases by approx. 400-500 MB is that a normal Windows/MS thing?

    Best regards.

    Hi,

This is to reports, strange things.

Installed W7, updated fine till Recommended ones and IE 11, 12 X.NET SP 4.x.x.

Than as you do, did a full 163 updates install, of which 133 got installed, 29 failed.

On reboot displayed those 29 but won't install, ran check for updates it kept running.

Recalled those 3 updates that you suggested, installed 1st and 3rd since displayed 2nd was already there.....

Check for updates, reveals 23 important, but won't download any if I check all, with the smallest a 172 kb W7 security, tries downloading but than displays an error.

    I have so many questions.....

    1. Why didn't initially after 29 failed, on restart couldn't download them?

    2. Why do I need the 3 updates now, when check for updates get stuck?

    3. 2nd is already there....wired?

    4. Now after the 2 installed manually why cant it download?

1st time happened, is it cause my laptop is ancient?

Hoping to hear your expert thoughts,

    Best regards!

Screenshots of failed updates, and of updates errors after installing the 2, 1st and 3rd, for your expert views.

    Thanks.

    Edit:

1st time I had to install the 2 of the 3 updates you recommended, and still doesn't update?

That 1 failed update time, was may be a mere fluke but I should have grabbed.

Not sure see if this helps
As always switch the update settings to Never check for updates first and restart,

    Hi,
After that please run sfc /scannow
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

    If errors are found
    Restart and run it again
    Repeat this 3 times.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the recommendation.

Ran sfc/scannow, results were clear, not integrity violations.

Check for updates displays updates available, but won't download or install but get a error code as posted earlier.

Just a idea can't these 2/3 updates like the earlier 2, be installed manually before activating Windows?

    Best regards.

    Hi,

At last after several trials managed to install remaining updates.......but have a question.

Why did I need these 2 updates after the 1st run, never required earlier?

Still have more than 30 failed updates , canceled etc..

Its strange, one day I don't even need to uncheck our fav update and all get downloaded and installed in one go with only 1 failed, at other times get 20 plus failed and this time needed to manually install 2/3 updates after 1st run......MS is strange??

    Thanks again.

    Hi again TharshZone,

What do you think about the idea to create the 1st image after W7 install, 2 updates, activated, after installing Recommended ones and in Important IE 11, all 12 .NET 4.x.x. so if face errors don't have to redo each time?

    Your expert thoughts on this?

    Best regards!

    Hi,
Yes you can create images at any point and yes it's a lot faster to restore a system image than starting over.

That is sort of a problem starting from the top of the list and only installing 20 or so at a time
The top updates could supersede lower updates
Which is the case with kb3061518 it replaces kb3050514

    kb3060716
