    Hi,

Thanks for posting your expert thoughts.

So if I understand correctly, you imply 2 things, firstly installing in batches isn't a good option, secondly it should be done all in one go for important updates, after the recommended ones......vs. IE 11, than 12 .NET 4.xx.x and than W7 security and again going up to cumulative for IE 11.......correct?

Would the 3 updates always be needed to be installed manually?

    Best regards!

    Edit:

In that 1 time that I installed all in 1 go and got only 1 failed, was done as I normally do.....recommended, IE 11, 12 NET 4, and than all .....here is a conflict.....never required the 3 to manually be installed?

    Hi,
I believe you can skip manually installing KB3083710

But yea that is why I said to start from the bottom a while back because those are actually the oldest updates.
But yes ideally you just install all of them at the same time and the install would sort things properly.

The proper popup message should say if some updates didn't install would be they don't apply to the system not an actual error or failed update.

    Hi,

    1. Skip manual install of KB3083710 and install only KB3102810....correct.

    2. After Recommended ones, install either all important, or if done in batches should start from the bottom. Correct?

    3. After install of recommended .NET 4.5.2 there appears 12 important for it if check for updates is rerun.

Since you are one expert and authority, would appreciate if you kindly make a list of how to.......since you probably have installed W7 32 bit on one of your machines......if I recall correctly with none failed?

    Thanks again.

    Hi,

I like modesty and dislike arrogance, but stop being so modest that "you believe".......You know so, I know.

Hey care to make a list, don't think if it screws up (like always), i'll say that you recommended.....am really fed-up of installing and updating W7 so many times in such a short span but I never blame any one but myself.

MS made me clean install at least 10 times and 8 times here till now...it's a learning but a painful one

    Best regards!

    Hi,
Installing net 4.5.2 was something to try you shouldn't have to do that in a perfect world :)
    Important updates always come first
Starting from the bottom is also some thing to try

But ultimately if you get failed updates when installing all of them at the same time
Just use Brink's updates reset option 3.

Tired of MS sweet , polite , pillow talk, again mailing me....."what's the best time for our class 2 support tech to resolve your issues" crap.

They do nothing waste hrs, end up with Brink's type of technique.

    Hi,

    You now are confusing me.....

    1. Now from what I gather is your method till activation with both updates, NO .NET 4.5.2, install ALL Important, till current.

    2. Than Install .NET 4.5.2 and its newly appeared 12 important?

    Correct........care to edit?

    Thanks!

    Edit:

Why did you predicit, that at some point I would need to install those 3 updates, in one of your earlier posts......looking at my method?

    Hi,
I have only dropped one update to manually install
Before you start download KB3083710 and KB3102810 in advance, and store them on a flash drive
Start and complete the install without an internet connection
    Immediately after install is complete
    Manually install KB3083710 and restart.
    Manually install KB3102810 and restart.
Change your windows update settings I used Check for updates but let me decide when to download and install
Unchecked Give me recommended updates the same....

Restore the Internet connection and Activate windows
Then launch Windows Update search it shouldn't take very long 5-10 minutes for me
    Only install Important updates first

    Hi,

Thanks for posting the new edited expert plan.

    1. All Important ones in one go, including KB 3020683 or that to remain unchecked till the end, last to be installed....correct?

    2. Once current, than install Recommended like .NET 4.5.2 and than its 12 important ones.......correct?

    Best regards!

    Hi,
Try to get past #1 first
You have never gotten past the first part.

If you get failed updates yes redo it and uncheck our buddy KB3020369 from being installed with any other updates
