Windows 7: Cant get other microsoft updates

Windows 7 Pro & Ultimate (64-Bit) Retail, Windows 8.1 Pro (64-Bit) Retail
 
 

Also, I've noticed in Windows 8.1 that it doesn't use the plugin, it's just a simple on/off with the checkbox so it doesn't seem to suffer the same glitch.
