Windows update never ending to search for update

An old PC with fresh new Win7Pro64 installation and a few programs installed.
Did notice DX11 was missing (substituted old GPU with a new one) and tried to perform Win Update.
The process never give any answer, waiting for hours since a couple of days. I did fist changed the Win Update settings from automatic download to just notify.
I did try everything I find on this forum, from resetting Win Update using the bat, to following others forum suggestions such as this, upgrade to Win10, install the "SP2" win7 pack, cancelled the whole updates directory content, and also following posting instructions.
Summarizing the situation: any app I did try such as System Update Readiness Tool to Win10 update is stuck on searching for updates and the process never finish.
Win Update give an error just once after resetting it, but never again, is simply wating.
SFC scan didn't give any error.
Installing the SP2 "courtesy pack" was at the beginning impossible since Microsoft Downalod center is asking to installa a ActiveX app again and again never ending the process.
Tried also to disable any firewall, antivirus, realtime protection.
CBS folder zip is too big to be uploaded, next a link to download it.

Strange is now the update is working again.
I reset all the upgrades settings to authomatic, maybe this was the trick.
Will be nice if MS give more info about the underlying process, maybe was working but difficult to say with just a bar zooming left to right and back.
