    Hello redrooster, :)

Did Windows 10 already download and waiting to install, or is it asking you to?

For now, you might see if using the tutorials below to disable the GWX icon and Windows 10 update may help.

Ive got no idea if its downloaded and ready to install? Every time I see a Win 10 pop up I delete it without reading anything! I had installed win 10 about 6 months ago but I didnt like it and went back to win 7.

    Hi,
Did you ever change the way you receive windows updates namely Recommended updates by excluding them from being mixed up and installing with real important updates ?

    Hi,
    Yes win-10 is a recommended update !
I'd also use GWX control panel to remove all of the win-10 downloaded files and check your upgrade os status

    Hi,
Just so you know M$ changed the way the gwx icon works now that's mainly why you really need to completely get rid of it not just hide notifications :)
