Custom PC refuses to grab window updates

This is an old computer that was running a "modded" windows 7 ultimate. I no longer needed the ultimate and after formatting i installed windows 7 home premium NOT MODDED with an official windows 7 CD and key. The ultimate had no issues it ran fine and was good. This home premium wont do a basic thing. It wont update anything!!

With that said it is kinda weird. It has internet, i can watch youtube and download anything i want. what it cant do is use the built in auto update, it'll just sit there with the bar acting normal for days and no progress, longest i waited was 2 days then i stopped it.

I ran the windows network fix it tool and it found nothing.
I then ran the Windows Update Diagnostic program and WOW.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Windows Update error 0x80070005 (2016-07-06-T-10_52_52A) ---- not fixed
Services registration is missing or corrupt ---- fixed
Problems installing recent updates ---- fixed (repeats this message 4 times)

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I then restart the computer and nothing updates so I run the program again and the exact same messages appear! What!!! WHY!!! It even says this with firewall off

This is a Fresh install with only the Lan driver, IE 11 (manually installed), chipset drivers, and APU drivers installed. Thats it out of my 256gb ssd i have 202gb free so nothing is on it. I have it hooked up directly to router who has its built in firewall off. No other computer in house is having same issues in any way. This is also my 8th build and never seen this before.

    Parts I have
    motherboard : GIGABYTE GA-F2A88XN-WIFI FM2+
    SSD: samsung evo 850 pro
*i removed the wifi card thinking this caused issues. False
Mouse: Generic from dollar store (test mouse as simple as can be)
Drivers came from the disc from the Motherboard box.

(theory: Microsoft blacklist me? Since I used a modded version with same equipment 2 weeks ago>)

Whats going of advice is awesome.

(And Hi I just joined for help on this topic.

    Hi Glitch,
Lets have a look at a couple things
    the results of this tool,
    http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=52012

NOW before you post the results

    Please install kb971033
    REBOOT

    rerun the tool
compare the output, i have a feeling its activated but NOT registered

    IN first run
    File Scan Data-->
    File Mismatch: C:\Windows\system32\wat\watadminsvc.exe[Hr = 0x80070003]
    File Mismatch: C:\Windows\system32\wat\npwatweb.dll[Hr = 0x80070003]
    File Mismatch: C:\Windows\system32\wat\watux.exe[Hr = 0x80070003]
    File Mismatch: C:\Windows\system32\wat\watweb.dll[Hr = 0x80070003]

    ActiveX: Not Registered - 0x80040154
Admin Service: Not Registered - 0x80040154

Missing in the second if so,

Then you should be good to go.
Although like the rest of us W7 users were in the MS doesn't like us mode
You'll get your updates when i feel like it.

Just let it run they will turn up eventually --couple hrs plus.

IF its not the post the results

    Roy

With about 8 hours of my time I contacted Windows support and they did fix the problem. It was funny cause I they had to remote into the computer and I saw in the chat box that I got handed off to other support people. Im not sure what they did but they grab a program from Tech net and ran it. I was a blue program that looked like command prompt and they choose repair system update and repair corrupted system files. After that they ran windows update for 3 HOURS and it installed everything.

    as for above
    "Please install kb971033"
They tried and I tried It would sit and after about 40 mins it would freeze up. They tried a couple different system update repair patches all would freeze.

Thank you for your help this was fixed maybe 1-2 hours ago.
