    Failed updates

    Hello
I'm preparing to upgrade to Windows 10

But before I want to have a "clean" Windows 7

As I checked the Windows 7 update history, I see that there are 12 "failed" updates
When I try to see what updates are "waiting", I get a message that says something like : "Windows cannot search for updates and you must restart your computer to complete the previous installation" (sorry for the approximation, but I use a french version fo Windows !)

So, I restarted the computer (several times !) but nothing happens either at "close" time or at reboot time

Could i "force" the removal of these failed updates and come back to a clean situation ?

I attach 2 screen captures if needed

Thanks for your help Have a good day

    Hi Sfluery,
In point of fact its actually better to do a clean install rather than an update.
(any unreported minor corruptions can/will be moved to the new OS)

    No screenshots on post.

Try this link from our W10 sister site.

Thank you very much for your answer ... and your comments

On Windows 7, I applied all needed updates -
Meanwhile, I downloaded the files for a "clean" Windows 10 install and looked at the pages you recommended
Thanks again Have a good day
