I'm not using the standalone installer, I'm trying to use the Windows Update client.
Then you're waste your time and ignoring suggestions you asked for earlier.
Without the 2 updates I posted installed in the order I posted them in you might as well take a nap or let it search all night.... and just count the errors :)
    Good luck.

I installed the updates that you gave me earlier from a standalone installer. After I did that I tried to use the Windows Update client to see if it worked...

The first one, KB30xxxx installed correctly, the KB31xxxx one failed. Also I tried that before with no success.

Personally I'd start over and do the 2 dates without an internet connection then activate windows after the second one installs

I just did it so windows does not have to be activated to install them.
It should also only take a few minutes each.

After activating windows the other 200+ as long as you exclude recommended updates from be mixed up with important updates and only deal with the important updates first you "shouldn't" have any problems.

Of course today might not be all that great of a day to load a bunch of updates seeing it's last day for win-10 freebie which all the Don't miss out on the free upgrades messages are gone so it might of been yesterday midnight was the deadline ?

So I solved it by doing a final re-install, applying a load of patches(about 6 patches I remember) and it worked. Thanks for all the support guys!
