I did a clean install, as said in the title. I clean installed multiple times.

EDIT: It just finished the startup repair, and I found an interesting thing: Problem Signature 07: BadPatch
EDIT2: It restarted and it works, hoping for the best that Windows Update works.

Does not work. Says that all updates are up-to-date and installed, when they aren't. I noticed that the KB31xxxx update ThrashZone linked me failed to install.

I understand you first post. It states re-install.
It does not indicated if the re-install is from a backup, a recovery partition or from what method.
If you meant you did a Clean Install from a proper media, I just misunderstood you. Sorry.

    Hi,
Just refer back to my first post and make sure the 4 services are Disabled.
Otherwise the stand alone search/ install will stall.

I'm not using the standalone installer, I'm trying to use the Windows Update client.

    Hi Laith :)

Would you mind posting the log of chkdsk?

Where do I find that? It had a scheduled chkdsk at startup, so I let that run, but where can I find the log?
