    Windows Update will not start.

I have been attempting to get Windows Update running for over an hour so I typed the following into the Internet.
"Windows Update will not open" I did not write down what it said but the following came up when I followed their instructions.
    Service regimentation is missing.
Windows Update Error. OX80070057 2017-01-16 T-045052P not fixed.
Could someone please suggest what I do next.

Since then I've found the following software and wonder if that could help me sort the problem out.
    Office Home and Students 2010.
    Drivers and Utilities already installed.
    Recovery DVD 1 and 2

Many thanks for your help on this matter but I could not make it run. I then spent a couple of hours on the Internet and found that this is an endemic problem with Windows 7 which Windows have no bothered to fix and its not good enough because I, and many other computer users are being cheated by Windows.
