Hi,
I'd stick to my list
And don't forget make a system image before so if errors occur you can roll back and try again easily.

Hi,
You'd be better off than having So Many listed

Hi,
I always let it update if prompted
So far I have not had any issues with that.

Hi,

Thanks for replying.

Now I'm on the same page as you.....perfect W7 install I ever did, thanks to you!

Wish I had noted all from clean install till now, would go through the earlier thread and this to do it.

Have a look at the optional.

Best regards have a great Sat!

Hi
Great
One heads up I only deal with Important updates so if one shows up download and install it or them after creating a system image of course
Then even if we do get a bad one/ a recalled one we can always undo the issue easily

How necessary is updating at all
I guess I'm of the school, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I've recently upgraded my os from xp pro that I've had on my Home built i5 for years without updating XP ever, to win 7 ultimate to take advantage of 64 bit memory for video editing. All my needed programs run fine, why should I...

Updating the RTM?
Looks like I'm going to give the RTM a shot. I believe I'll have to turn off "auto-activate when online" during the install to allow for the rearming thing until October but I'm curious about Windows Updates once it's running. Getting it updated is typically the first thing I do when installing a...
