    Hi,
No internet shouldn't be needed once you download them just install them in the order I posted them in
You be updated through April of 2016 so yes only about 50 updates left but a cleaner install with fewer failed to install updates
Hopefully no failed out of the 3
Let me know on that one

    Good morning,

    Hi,

Let me make myself clear, since am confused.

I have the up to date W7 with Off till Aug updates, image created and stored.

In this install got approx 30-50 failed updates.

So I decided to experiment it again hoping to get lesser failed updates, starting from a clean install.

    1. Clean installed W7 SP1.

    2. Installed KB3083710 and KB3102810 updates as standalone.

    3. Connected to internet and W7 validated.

    4. Ran check for updates for the 1st time, results displayed as in attachment, 173.

Query is how to get fewer or none failed updates?

That is why I posted the update list.

If it isn't possible than would just restore to the last backup.

    Thanks again.

    Hi,
Not sure why you're using those old updates to install with
    W7 not updating?
These are the ones you should be using KB3020369 & KB3172605 & KB3125574

    Hi,

So you mean to say I should do this

    1. Clean installed W7 SP1.

    2. Install KB3020369 & KB3172605 & KB3125574 updates as standalone.

    3. Connected to internet and validate W7.

    4. Than run for check for updates.

    Correct?

    Thanks.

Cannot find a link for KB3125574, care to post if you have?

    Thanks.

Another reason for trying a new install is if the no of failed get way to high, than at times with reset creates new Softwares Distribution folder..

    Hi,

    Thanks.

    1. Just this KB3125574 one.

    2. Which folder of your One note drive?

    Edit:

    Hi again,

Can I uninstall the 2 old standalone updates or need to reinstall W7?

    Thanks.
