    Best Update Configuration Advice

Hey guys, I had an Updating issue recently and am still not clear on the best settings for the Update Settings?

I just installed a bunch of Optional and Recommended Updates, but was sure to exclude the Bad Guys for the W10 Upgrade stuff: KB3035583 and KB2952664

So I still don't know if this is the best or not. I was not accepting Optional and Recommended before, but since having this Update issue though I would change my actions.

    This is my current setting:
    1. “Check for Updates but let me choose whether to download and install them” Is this good, or should I got with checking for them Manually.

Now wondering what this setting should be:
    2. “Give me Recommended Updates the same way I receive Important Updates”

Can someone shed some light on this for me? Thanks, Nasty7

    Hi,
KB3035583 and KB2952664 has been reissued quite a few times :)
If you only passed on the current versions ?

These are the settings I've always used

The only issue with the update system is these are needed KB3020369 & KB3172605

This was/is a new install, so I was watching for these and never let them through, thanks. You also advised me to watch out for these.

Thanks! you helped me install these recently! So these came though as "Recommended" or "Opitonal"? and if so, will it be better for me to accept all these updates with the exception of the GWX Updates?

Just trying to understand how I did not get those two Updates that were needed?

Here is the Thread where you helped me

    Thanks again, Nasty7

    Well you could :)
I personally like many others have a list of items to avoid for various reasons
