Windows Update and Office 365 and 2016

A week or so ago I saw somewhere the MS had issued security fixes for Office 365 and 2016. I just checked Windows Update and found 7 updates none of which seemed to apply to Office. I have set up Updates to get updates for Microsoft products.

    Have I missed something?

    Thank you.

I downloaded the KB for that (KB3118292) but was told it didn't apply to my system which is Win 7 SP1 with Office 2016.

If you have Office 2016 Click to Run & Office 365 Click to Run, then Updates do not show up in the usual Windows Update section. They run automatically in the background.

You can check whether these versions of Office are up to date by opening any of the Office programs & select File & then Account & click on Update Options & select Update Now. It will check for Updates & you can continue to use Office while it downloads & updates automatically. If it is up to date it will inform you.

Just make sure you have Automatic Updates turned on.

You can also check when the last Update was run, by opening Control Panel, select Programs & Features, scroll down to Microsoft Office & it will show the current version & last update.
