Windows Update will not update and I've tried multiple fixes
I have Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 bit OS. I have researched multiple "fixes" on this site, and still cannot get it to function properly.
Some of the patches are using a Standalone Installer. When they are engaged, it searches for updated files, and that's all it does. Can anyone assist me in fixing this situation. I have a Dell Inspiron Laptop. It's about 5 years old. Thanks! |

I cannot get the Windows update service to stop. When I run through the process, they system says Windows Update is "STOPPING", but will not go completely to stopped.
To that end, I am unable to install any of the updates suggested. Any thoughts on how to proceed? |

Disk - Clean and Clean All with Diskpart Command You will of course need access to a machine running Windows to use DISKPART but it is worth it. |

Windows Update broken. Multiple fixes didn't work. Greetings, I've got a doozy of a Toshiba here. Originally, it had the beginnings of a failed hard drive, so we cloned it over.
