Compatibility update for keeping Windows up-to-date in Windows 7

    Introduction

This update performs diagnostics on the Windows systems that participate in the Windows
Customer Experience Improvement Program. The diagnostics evaluate compatibility
on the Windows ecosystem and help Microsoft to ensure application and device
compatibility for all updates to Windows. There is no GWX or upgrade
    functionality contained in this update.
Is this optional update good to install? I hid this update when it had the GWX feature.

I hide that one every time it comes up, I see no point in installing it.

Are you involved in the Windows Customer Experience Improvement Program ?

I don't know if I'm involved in the WCEIP.

There were about seven optional updates that I hid, because they were related to the "Get Windows 10 Now" upgrade. Occasionally, they would appear as new optional update downloads. Now that the period for the free upgrade is over, it appears they are offering this optional update again without the notification area icon.
