Manual Win Update folder remnants - safe to delete?

    Update:

    All folders deleted without any issues (yes, I had to OK the UAC prompt, but that was it).

    They are in the Recycle Bin for now. But have installed this week's updates and rebooted several times since then, without incident. Will dump them from RB soon, to be fully rid of them.

    Will mark as SOLVED.

I found that there more than 7,000 files taking up almost 5GB in my hard drive in the TEMP folder. The folder path is the following. It is a Windows 7 64-bit computer. C:\Users\Windows User\AppData\Local\Temp Is it to safe to delete all these files? Thank you.

Hi, im just wondering if it's safe to delete the roaming folder at: C:\Users\User\AppData my roaming folder is taking up a lot of space, 35 gb to be exact.
I recently just re-installed Windows 7 because basically it became very corrupt, now it's no longer corrupt and I have a Windows.old folder and I was wondering if it's even necessary to have it now? So is it safe to delete it? Because it consumes A LOT of space on my computer.
Hello, I got a usb 250gb hdd, and its got a folder called $recycle.bin My question is, can i just delete it and have no problems? Thanks and tell me if you ever did it before.:mad:
Strange issue. In my downloads folder, I had one folder of icons from an unziped zip file (clean of antivirus or spyware). Strange enough, I now cannot delete the actual folder and sub-folders! I even replicated this in safe mode too. I am on an admin account as well and have full permissions "all"...
