    November updates - any thoughts?

Yesterday (7 November) I got the Windows has updates notification for the monthly updates. Looked for a thread to see if anyone had any thoughts on whether there were any issues, before updating, but couldn't find one.

So are they all ok to install?

Actually - maybe it's not monthly updates. I just have one important one for visual C ++ 2005 SP1 (I uninstalled and reinstalled it recently after some errors). Plus two optional ones.

One optional one is Skype (took it off), the other is "October, 2016 Preview of monthly quality rollup for Windows 7 .... KB 3192403"

    Whatever that is.

    Hi,
I haven't gotten anything showing up yet personally
I probably won't install anything until this weekend after creating a system image of course :)

Good point! Create a system image first before all updates - will do that from now on - except just moved house and can't find any equipment lol.

The November updates don't come out till later today.

The preview update is just that, an unchecked optional update previewing the non-security updates for business IT departments to test before they are released formally the following month. Unless you want to beta test them, preview updates should be hidden.

Downloaded & installed it this morning here. 130 mb plus Malicious Software Removal Tool. Required one restart. In fact all went extremely well.
