Windows Updates canceled on Nov 9 2016

I received notification that 8 important updates were available. My heart sank, but I started Windows Update installing them and went away. When I came back my heart sank further when I found that the updates had been cancelled (see screenshot if I can post one here). Your instructions for posting about failed updates are to download System Update Readiness Tool, which I am supposed to run uninterrupted. It may take a few hours. Sorry, I do not have a few hours. Is there anything I can do in the meantime or do I trash my computer?

    Hi JSampson,
cant really tell whats going on till you post the logs.
But those errors, all coming up together, might indicate malware, run your AV and malwarebytes .

    Try this (see screenshot)

The logs in question are the ones created after you run the SURT utility, it is explained in step #4 here: Windows Update Posting Instructions

Not that it couldn't happen, but I've never seen a SURT run take longer than a half hour not several, the one I did awhile back took 10minutes, it depends on how much SURT has to wade through in order to finish its job and create the CBS log. One thing is sure; We need the log in order to find out what's wrong.

If you are talking about the screenshot torchwood mentioned in his post (Try this (see screenshot)), the instructions he left explaining how to recreate the license store is the screenshot.
