Hi,
My laptop list which is similar to yours but yea post one if you wish too it's no problem but use the link More information for the update-s in question and post a hyperlink for it here
Here's the last one I posted up through October's round that I have not installed
I have not installed November's yet
Probably will tomorrow or Saturday more likely or skip and install November's security only ?
Thanks, I shall post the links, shall try not to bother you much.
Mentor, did you install W7 on this lap similar to mine, using 2 or 3 updates method?
Hi,
No it's a little older install I believe a little over a year ago I clean installed it the old fashion way before MS borked the method
Thanks for explaining....but still running great! :)
On a fresh install I just install those 2 updates Mike has shown in his tut, then I only install the 1st round of security updates, then I go through the recommended and important updates 1 at a time and see if they are even needed, it takes a while but it`s worth it, I have a perfect SFC on a HP SFF desktop I just did today. I did not install that unofficial SP2 update. Way too much garbage in there we don`t need.
And I only do 20 or 30 updates at a time, running SFC in between, if SFC comes up clean I`ll create a restore point before installing more updates.
And so on.
I will try to make a new list of updates to avoid asap.
Thanks, :) but it's difficult for a newbie to know which are not required.....
