Windows system Readiness tool not installing

Hello guys, To keep it short I ll brief on what is going on here, I have been trying to enable component in Windows Features on or off, however It is showing up as blank, I have research to find what is going on. These few consuming steps ,I had gone through were just not working at all in order to turn the telnet feature on the window feature option .

there seems to a problem or corruption on the windows update that is leading not to install the System readiness tool at all. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/947821
I ran across a suggestion to run sfc/scannow in cmd. When I try to do that, I get the error: Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but unable to fix some of them. I also went to logs/cbs to retrieve logs files to find a corrupt is causing this. if you guys can take a look at log files and let me know.

Also In another method of cleanup-image, I tried to do another step where Dsim Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth, This does not work because of an error 87
Its like a domino effect one after another, the problem seems not to go away, It goes deep. can you guys please help me find a solution to this . Thank you again, I appreciate your help.

    Hi Mkaz,
Thats not good even that tool failed to complete!!
Its success rate is about 95%+
As we cant find out whats causing the problem.

We could try a repair Install (NO loss of data)

Oh I was thinking that too, to be honest, this PC hasn't given so much problem over the years but I guess its becoming obsolete. Also the fact, I haven't done any kind of reinstalling of windows unless moving from xp to window 7 professional. Otherwise, the os have not been touched.

By the way, When I put in the windows 7 in the dvd, it does not show the repair install underneath.
The reason I say this, earlier today when I put windows 7 cd it gives the option of upgrade or custom install, however, reinstalling on top off this cause problem, Am I right,? I thought of going through the upgrade method. I don't know if that the only option
