Error 0x80004004 when deactivating windows defender after updating.

Regards, apologies for my English, it is not my native language.

I recently reinstalled a windows 7 64 bit OS and I encountered the error 0x80004004 when I disabled windows defender.

I have investigated and found that this error can originate due to a third party antivirus program, the issue is that in this case there were none installed.

Experimenting, I discovered that the error only occurs after updating windows, I explain:

Install windows and after starting disable windows defender without problems.

I look for updates, installs them and after reboot, deactivate windows defender and throws the error "Operation aborted error 0x80004004"

I have run antivirus and disinfection tools, malwarebytes, zemana antimalware, adware cleaner, hitmanpro, etc. To rule out infections and all analyzes come out clean.

Do you know if there is any specific update that is causing problems with windows defender?

    Thanks in advance.

Lookin at his other postings he's using Eset.

    Leave defender alone.
Its automatically dissabled when you installed ESET
(if you remove Eset or any AV use thier uninstaller NOT windows program uninstaller)

Thanks Roy I wasn't sure and yes if he had mentioned one I would have told him the same re the AV disabling Defender - I wonder when there will be an answer to our queries.
