    Strange update.

    Regards, sorry for the inconvenience.

Today I found in the section of optional updates the following:

    Intel - System - 6/28/2016 12:00:00 AM - 14.35.1.69

    Download Size: 1.5 MB

You may have to restart the computer for this update to take effect.

    Update Type: Optional

Intel System driver update released in June 2016

    More information:

    Help and Support:

The information tab takes me to a Microsoft help page but it does not mention the update.

And I can not find anything on the internet about it.

Anyone know what this update is going?

    Disable windows update drivers search.

    Start> Right click Computer

    Choose "Properties"

On the left side choose "Advanced System Settings"

On the Hardware tab choose "Device Installation Settings"

    Set it like this:

Get Intel drivers from your computer manufacturer's website as they will work. Rule of thumb is if it's working leave drivers alone unless you really need the latest features included in newer drivers.

thanks for your help. But what really intrigues me is not to find any information, by any side on this "update".

Hijin25, I just got this update as well. And I'm still unsure of what to do with it.

I don't like the fact that it's labeled to be from June of this year, but there's no explanation as to what it might be for. Intel? OK, I have a new i7. System? What about my system?

I think I will be hiding this update until further investigation reveals why it appeared...

    Hi,
    Sounds like a chipset driver
Are you using onboard graphic's by chance or do you have a dedicated graphic's card ?

Exactly, that is what makes me more suspicious, that it is of long time and shows up until now. And that neither information exists anywhere clarifying what it is.

I have disabled the Intel video card from the BIOS, so I do not think that's it. And looking at Intel, I can not find any update with that version number for any of its components.

Yup, disabled onboard graphics here as well.

Nothing showing up in Device Manager, either. Thought it might be something for the Z170X chipset, but I have everything required from the mobo's website installed already.

I don't have onboard graphics and this update appeared yesterday morning. I can't find any info for it so I'm going to leave it alone for now.
I do have some Intel stuff for my motherboard.
