    Any Windows Update patches with privacy or telemetry issues?


    As of December 9, 2016, are there any current Windows Update patches for Windows 7 that perhaps should not be installed due to privacy or telemetry issues?

    If you have been installing Quality Monthly Rollup then you will get a new service - Diagnostics Tracking Service

    I've checked and the service is not included in my default services backup file so it must be a new service. I set it to disabled although it shouldn't actually do anything if you opted out of CEIP.

Just got Windows Privacy Policy Update, in which i read that one can opt out of 'interest-related ads'. So i did, or rather, tried. You see the off options were both inert, grayed-out! Blackly funny really, and utterly typical of MS, who regularly shoot themselves in the foot. What a clever...
I am trying to install updates KB2079403 KB981957 KB982665 for Windows 7 Ultimate X64, but it keeps showing 800B0100 errors. Attached is the CheckSUR log file. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
