    Arcturus
Have you tried to re-input the product key???

    If yes try from this
Open Windows Explorer and go to Access Denied - follow the instructions
(ignore access denied forum is having trouble with the names from URL's)

    Hi Arcturus,
the tool is not reporting a vbs script error, (it would show)

Lets do some other system fix's

    from an elevated command mode

    sfc /scannow
    chkdsk

    and from here
    http://www.sysnative.com/niemiro/apps/SFCFix.exe

    report the findings.

    Roy

    note
a quick call to MS might shed some light on the product key you have, they will tell you if its problematic, if so its back to your shop

    I'd Call MS

    Hi Roy

I did call ms saturday when he saw that my license was OEM he says they don't support, he said go back to vendor; computer shop. I buy a new board and give the old one to my son and i buy a new license and i think that i make a mistake, i should have let the first license on the board that where installed to instead the new one...If i had known!

I start another sfc /scan the first have no error after i'll do the chekdisk.
    i'll return with further information.

    Thanks!

    Hi Arcturus,

    AHHH the plot thickens
so do you have 2 keys,
    are they both
OEM system builder w7 pro ??
IF NOT please give me the details
for your computer what are the last 3 blocks please,
(this info will not prejudice your licence)
you can PM if your not happy posting them, but they appear on the tool

MS help/support lines does not cover OEM.
The activation line is different, thats the one you need
just tell them your machine has gone non-genuine, they will ask for the key and check it.

before you phone them try this first
    Click Start, type: CMD
    Right click CMD
    Click Run as adminstrator
At the command prompt, type the following commands:
    slmgr.vbs -ipk xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx
(allows you to replace the current product key with the specified)
xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx - represents your product key
    Hit Enter on your keyboard
    Exit the command prompt
    Restart your computer

    Try activating again.

    Hi Arcturus,
Your original key is on your sons computer (yes)
your new key needs to be on yours,
One key per computer you cannot use the same key at the same time on 2 machines
MS can identify this and will block it.

The sfcfix found errors we need to run the SURT tool.
    please use the link below

Download Microsoft System Update Readiness Tool
