Would that affect my documents? I downloaded a sp1 installer from microsoft since the windows update for sp1 keeps on failing but when I ran the installer I got this TRUST_E_NOSIGNATURE then ran the system update readiness which gave me the details but I don't know how to fix it

Hi,
Well yes you'd need to back up all your personal files since you waited an eternity to install sp1

Old way to update after a clean install,
Windows Update will not update and I've tried multiple fixes

I appreciate your method but is there any other way to install sp1 without doing this clean installation?
since for me it's very risky to do this installation of windows because I don't know a lot about it and I might break my computer

You can`t break your computer by reinstalling windows, people do it all the time.

Hi,
Might be a way but be aware there are an additional 320 updates that were issued after sp1 so it is best to clean install with sp1 already on the media

The bigger concern is why he/she has not already installed SP1.
If its the M83 tiny it would have shipped with W8.

looks like W8 to me
In which case your >> never << gonna get W7 SP1, with your current install
(where did you get your install media)
and the KB its referencing has been superceeded, so how did you install it???

Please complete your system specs.

if you follow the instructions from here i could give you further details,
ignore the title it provides valuable info.
