Avoid SP1 install but get the individual updates instead?

I'm in the process of reinstalling WIndows7 on a Windows8 machine.

If I run updater for the first time on a clean 7 installation (without SP1). Can I avoid downloading SP1 with the updater. But populate the updater-window with all necessary updates. So I can pick myself which individual updates to install?

Another thing, once I am happy with how my system works. Is there a tool that lets me create a list of all installed updates on my particular system. And download all separate updates for me?

I found a tool called Windows Update Minitool.

*Can it create a list of all currently installed updates on my (new WIN7) machine. And provide to download them for me for future use?
*Will Windows Update Minitool suggest updates specific for your system. Or download all available updates regardless of importance to your hardware/setup?

been reading your LAST WEEKS posts.

Whats the model no;
certain laptops now CANNOT support W7, deliberately manufactured that way.

If you have a bulk standard SSD then NO special requirements to "align" it are neccessary.

As for your non SP1 discs they will need a valid product key,(1)
either System Builder or Retail, standard OEM discs will NOT activate and generate a non-genuine pop-up.

If you DO NOT upgrade to SP1(1), certain 3rd party programs will not work if they require Netframework 4 and above, SP1 is required for it.
Other MAJOR updates also require SP1 to be installed.
(even on basic sysytem its gonna be 350 updates)

Update finders including the one you found just list whats missing, not ALL the pre-reqisites, so its gonna be hit and miss.

I got it from work years ago and still love it. And yes I have a license.

My laptop is based on UEFI. If I use diskpart to partition and format my ssd. Then continue its setup. Will Windows7 still create the necessary UEFI partition?

And why shouldn't my primary partition be aligned at ssd device-start instead of 1024kb? I still do not understand.
