    KB2952664 is back??

Why on earth am I seeing KB2952664 in my optional updates?!
    The page https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...e-in-windows-7
claims "There is no GWX or upgrade functionality contained in this update."

Funny. I remember this WU as being the very first Win 10 thin edge of the wedge in 2015 and it's on my do not install list.
If this has been answered elsewhere, forgive me, please.

It's a reoccurring telemetry update that will reappear every time there is a new patch.

It's in my list of "Important Updates"! Is it still safe to hide/ignore it?

It should be in optional updates. You must have used the wrong settings to configure Windows Updates.

You don't want to download any update automatically regardless of whether you are going to install it.

You just want the important updates and can review recommended updates. You do not want to turn a recommended update into an important update just by ticking the wrong box.

You were right, Callendar, although I know I had made that change a long while back. Somehow it reverted, but all is now well again. Thanks!

Thanks, everyone :) Mine showed up in Optional Updates, so back to hiding it. One must always be vigilant, apparently!
